Sparkle Party

You can say I’m a bit of a glitter girl! I’ve been seeing a lot of blog posts of glittered ankle boots with inspiration from the Miu Miu glitter ones. I hunted every thrift store, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and Ross that I could… to no avail. I found these knee high Rockport boots at TJ Maxx for $25! And they are beyond comfy! The converse were gifted at Lucky Fabb earlier this year and since I’m not a sneaker girl I had never worn them, they were just missing something. Sparkle, of course. This was one of the funnest projects I have done and it cost under $15 for the supplies! Michaels is always giving a 40% coupon on their site - use it!
What You Need:
Mod Podge - Luster not dull
Foam Brush - A small one and medium one
Glitter
Newspaper
Lay out enough newspaper for room to make a mess (sparkles fly). Cover the sections of the shoe that you want to glitter with the appropriate size brush. Working panel by panel is best, making sure the mod podge doesn’t dry before you get to sparkle them! Two coats of glitter is best. With the boots I chose to seal in the sparkles with a top coat of mod podge but that didn’t work so well on the Converse. And I see absolutely no problem leaving a trail of glitter behind!

My first time wearing the glitter boots! I paired them with: thrifted pink button up, Target black shorts, and Express opaque tights. Arm candy: Toy Watch from Nordstrom, and thrifted bracelets. But all credit goes to @thisthatbeauty for inspiring the ensemble.
