LA? Yes, please! I am so ready to thaw out and be in the sun. Not to mention, I’m a California girl originally, its in my blood. The sun motivates me as much as coffee (gasp) and this girl needed a little motivation!

This January I made a vision board and on it, two cities. NY or LA? The sunshine state won my heart. Today, with the help of my brother & sister, I packed my jeep to the brim! Literally, my entire life went into one car and I was ready for the open road.

Bittersweet, I planned to leave Jackson with my mom until I got a job and got settled. As you see above, he continued to give me a sad face and block my suitcase from getting out the door without him:( A last minute call to my uncle ensured that Jackson could come along, he will dog sit while I job hunt!

My heart was happy, my car was packed, my clothing comfy yet cute, and my dreams were ready for reality! I brought my mom along for the ride to help me unpack, get settled, and spend an extra few days before I really have to say goodbye.

We just arrived in Medford, OR, grabbed a pet friendly room, and I’m ready to rest up for tomorrow (today?).

Goodnight

Project Reality

MY VISION BOARD FOR 2012 - MAKING ALL OF THIS A REALITY

To say that 2011 did not go as planned is an understatement! Honestly I don’t even remember my goals but they were most likely somewhere along the lines of get skinny and get more involved in the fashion world? Very vague, I didn’t even write them down or use any sort of method to keep myself motivated at working on them daily. Needless to say: Epic Fail. My life began to unravel around February and I am sure that I used this as an excuse to throw my goals and focus to the wind (without fully noticing of course) instead of as a drive to become more focused and meet those goals.

Balance was not my forte… still working on that actually. When I take on something, I do it with full force, 110%. Which can be great in some ways but also extremely counter productive in others. I often find myself working too hard and forgetting to enjoy life or enjoying a little too much and letting my email pile up so high that it’s too intimidating to tackle.

This year I am challenging myself to BALANCE it all; my professional goals and my personal ones. And I want to invite YOU to join me! It’s great that we all make these resolutions on January 1 but then by week two we can’t wait for Monday to be over, we’re too stressed to work out, too tired to enjoy what we love, and too overwhelmed to even think about making our dreams a reality.

I decided to make a VISION BOARD this year! My sister who lives in Australia has encouraged me to do so. She makes on each year and no matter how extreme the vision (she has lived in Paris, HELLO) they always become reality. I’m ready to make my visions a reality and I want you to join me! It will set as a reminder in front of you each day, motivating to you to take a step towards your goal every single day. And not only that but we will all be able to hold each other accountable.

HOW IT WORKS:

Post a photo reply with a picture of your vision board

List your goals/visions for 2012 in the comments/reply

At the end of each month I will contact everyone to “check in” and post what you have worked on and what has become reality so far!

Even if you don’t want to do a vision board but want to be accountable, please comment with your goals and I will include you OR make one on Pinterest like I did here and paste the link in the comments!

I hope that you will join me in this project, making visions into reality. Invite your friends and twitter followers, this isn’t just for bloggers. Cheers to an amazing 2012 and a fabulous YOU!

IN 2012 I WILL:

Embrace Change

Letting go of the past and pressing forward with: balance, less excuses, and more focus. Conquering a new city (Either LA or NY) as my home by letting go of the comfort of “home”.

Face My Fears

It’s time I JUST DO IT, putting one foot in front of the other and taking baby steps to get there. Making consistent blog posts to build a successful blog - Bisous et Bonbons. Doing more television this year and getting into radio. Making more partnerships and continuing to step out of my comfort zone.

Enjoy life

Sometimes I just need to put the phone down and be in the moment. I’ve realized now more than ever the importance of true friendship and family. Dancing like nobody is watching sounds cliché but it’s so necessary, I am planning to be “ME” no matter what.

Take Care Of ME

I would like to say that I often put my own needs to the side because I am so caring and giving but in reality it all comes back to not dealing with my issues, rather focusing on someone else’s. I also tend to do what someone else wants me to do rather than what I want to do. This is the year I will balance the two. I will travel, workout (for me), read more, love more, live more, and laugh more!

Inspire & Help Others

I am who I am today because of God and it’s the least I can do to pay it forward. Although focusing on me this year is a goal, life is nothing if you aren’t doing for others. I will start each day with thankfulness to God and my first action will be to benefit another and not myself in anyway. Be it a random act of kindness (need to do this more) or an email to connect 2 people, a thank you card, or a compliment; it will be a great way to start the day!
