Dressed To Impress

It seems as if life is a constant audition for something, full of first impressions and what do I wear? From first date to wedding day, interview to CEO, play date to soccer mom. There’s a need for style in every stage of life. We feel better when we look better. We all know a day is never as productive when spent in your sweats and uggs all day. Style gives us that extra spring in our step to give us the confidence to take on the day, the hour and the moment!

My moment in taking on fashion as a career began with Project:Style. I decided to take on the opportunity for all that it was worth by putting my all into the project. Luckily for me it paid off! After winning the final round I felt such a sense of accomplishment as well as appreciation for all of those that helped me get there. For me, the $1000 shopping spree money was nice but I used it to shop for those that helped me with hair, makeup, modeling, and video along the way. The opportunity at hand was what meant more to me. The title and the road that it could lead  me down was what I looked forward to!

This road has been a good one so far! Fun, stylish, scary at times and a bit intimidating, but full of opportunities that I had never imagined. I’ve been on TV, invited to celeb events, been interviewed by magazines, attended fashion shows and the list goes on. It’s funny how a first impression can lead you to your dreams. Don’t let style get in the way of your life; dress to impress!
